Luke Nguyen Restaurant Casino
Late night diners in Brisbane have hit the jackpot with chef Luke Nguyen's stunning eatery Fat Noodle serving up delectable Pan Asian dishes night and day from its grand colonial home in the Treasury Casino.
Not only is this the place to grab a pork congee at 11pm or a pre-theatre Mee Goreng but it makes an unbeatable place for a post mall crawl city lunch. With dishes hovering around $20, menu must-tries are Luke's signature Fat Pho Noodles of Angus sirloin, brisket, Chilli, Thai basil and rice noodles in a 20 hour broth, the seafood-based Singapore Laksa, Wok-tossed Angus beef with lemongrass, vermicelli noodles, nuts and Vietnamese herbs and the Atlantic Salmon Sashimi.

All meals come with a heavy earthen pot of jasmine tea and as well as a small boutique wine list, there's bottled and draught beer and a refreshing range of Asian style drinks including young coconut juice, ginger or sour plum lemonade, lychee and lemon soda or Vietnamese ice coffee.
Had a light lunch at this Luke Nguyen restaurant located at the city corner of the Treasury Casino building. Fresh flavors served efficiently. Chicken pad Thai, lemon grass rolls, white wine and jasmine green was what we had. For high profile chef Luke Nguyen, the traditional Vietnamese pho holds a host of childhood memories. “One of my favourite dishes growing up, and I think for most Vietnamese kids, is pho,” says Luke. Of course, pho takes pride of place on the menu at Luke’s restaurant Fat Noodle at The Star Sydney and Treasury Brisbane.
Just as good as the food is the setting – sit on the arcaded verandah over Reddacliff Place (ideal for people watching), pull up a seat in the gorgeous communal room backed by a bar with back-lit paper feature wall or be seated in the grand dining room under the 3000+ chopsticks hanging garden.
Worth noting: with the extended hours and at just a short stroll across Victoria Bridge from QPAC Fat Noodle makes a great pre or post theatre diner.

Luke Nguyen Restaurant Casino Atlantic City
Restaurant Treasury Brisbane Casino and Hotel, Brisbane QLD Situated in a prominent corner position within the heritage Treasury Building, Fat Noodle presents as an exotic hideaway serving up-market dishes by celebrity chef, Luke Nguyen. At the age of 23, Luke fulfilled his dream by opening his very own restaurant – Red Lantern, with his sister Pauline Nguyen and Mark Jensen. In 2012, the team opened their second restaurant, Red Lantern on Riley & Red Lily Cocktail Bar. Considering Luke Nguyen's Red Lantern has a 2 month waiting list, in the meantime get yourself down to The Star casino and grab a bite to eat at Fat Noodle. It is definitely a far less formal affair, but the prices reflect that (in fact it only costs a little more than food court fare) and if you don't mind a casual dining ambience in the.
